Pietro Villa
I am Pietro Villa, a third year BESS student of 3 and I come from Turin, a city in the northwest of Italy. I study economics with the aim of pursuing a career in public institutions such as the ECB or the Ministry of the Treasury. I have always been very interested in student representation because I am convinced that it can really make a difference for the quality of the students' academic experience. I have been a BESS course and class representative for the last two years and in 2023 I was elected representative in the Department of Social and Political Sciences.
Department of Social & Political Sciences
The Department of Social and Political Sciences is the body that has the purpose of coordinating the professors who teach courses related to political and social studies. It includes the Department Chair, the directors of the individual courses and all the professors in this area. The Department discusses and decides the programs and exams of the Social and Political Sciences courses together with the program directors. The representatives make proposals, coordinate with the class and course representatives and ensure fair examination procedures and useful teaching in the relevant courses.
